Currently, about 400,000 young people go to the Asian giant every year for study reasons and the government has proposed to reach 500,000 by the year 2020.

The foreign students come from more than 200 countries, among them South Korea, United States, Thailand and Russia. Young people who come to China to be trained mainly opt for degrees related to the Asian country, such as language, culture, history, traditional medicine ... Although in recent years they have begun to enrol in other specialties related to scientific research and engineering.

Students arrive in two ways: thanks to scholarships offered by the Chinese government or through self-financing. If you want to know the Chinese government aid you can consult the financial questions section of this guide.

The teaching grade levels are generally taught in Chinese, although the institutions make an increasing effort to internationalize. At the graduate level there are several programs designed in English to attract university students.
